Free JKids Radio MUSICAL PASSOVER SEDER EXPERIENCE Online
Sponsored by Shaarey Tphiloh, PJ Library in Southern Maine, the JCA, Temple Beth El, and Congregation Bet Ha'am
Sunday, March 21st | 3 PM
Musical Passover Seder Poster

Join us for a singalong seder experience with the very top artists in Jewish kids music including Nefesh Mountain, Rabbi Josh Warshawsky, Eliana Light, Shira Kline, Ellen Allard, Rick Recht, Joanie Leeds, and Elana Jagoda!

We'll sing traditional and contemporary songs, tell the Passover story, and explore the foods on the seder plate, the blessings, the questions, and the highlights of the Exodus - from slavery to freedom. Registered participants will receive downloadable resources for families to use at home. Geared towards families with children ages 0-10 years old.

Throughout the musical Seder there will be opportunities to use the crafts (which you can make in advance) from the downloadable JKids Passover Home Activity Kit. To enrich your musical Seder experience, we recommend having the elements of your Seder plate as well as matzah and a kiddush cup available, or you can pretend! If you wish, you can also follow along in the PJ Library Haggadah.

Advanced registration required by Sunday, March 29th at noon to receive the Zoom link:

Jacob Cousins Memorial
Unveiled in September 1935, the Jacob Cousins Memorial was part of an ongoing nationwide effort to highlight both the patriotism of Jewish Americans and their contribution during times of conflict. The memorial is a key artifact in the history of the Jewish community in southern Maine linking past to present and inspiring visitors to remember, respect and contemplate the cost of war.
The memorial was significantly renovated with extensive bench seating for viewing it and Casco Bay. The restoration was officially opened on October 1, 2018. Shaarey Tphiloh is proud to be one of the community sponsors of this memorial. Friends of the Eastern Promenade is continuing to raise funds to cover the cost of the recent redesign of this historic landmark.

Sunday Simcha! - Listen to the archived programs online.
Hosts: Hillel, Barbara Merson, Natan Kahn, and Ben Naftali

Sunday Simcha  is the only Jewish music program in Maine and northern New England and one of only a handful of Jewish music radio shows in the United States. Shows are wildly eclectic—one of the few Jewish shows to feature modern, diverse, and cutting-edge recordings in addition to traditional music.

If you are interested in becoming a DJ, contact WMPG here.

Documenting Maine Jewry documents the history of Maine Jews and has wonderful archival materials online at mainejews.org.
