Erev Shavuot Speakers, Zach Heiden from MCLU and attorney David Soley, will present "The Maine Prison Sytem -A Jewish Perspective" on Thursday evening, May 28 at 8 p.m. Mincha will be recited at 7:50p.m., and refreshments will follow the presentation.
Shavuot morning services will be held at 9 a.m. May 29 and 30. Yizkor will be recited on the 30th at approximately 10 a.m.
The Shaarey Tphiloh Annual Meeting will take place Sunday, June 7, at 9:30 a.m. at the shul. All are welcome!
On Friday, June 12, at 4 p.m., Shaarey Tphiloh will be hosting a special Shabbat service, Together at Shabbat, for caregivers and families, sponsored by Jewish Family Services. More details soon!
On Wednesday evening, June 17, Prof. Dina Spechler of Indiana University will present a lecture on "The Obama Administration: the Netanyahu Government, and the Arab-Israeli Conflict: What Can We Expect?" Professor Spechler's research interests are in comparative foreign policy and international relations, particularly Russian, Soviet and American foreign policy and the international relations of the middle east.
